HUNTINGTON, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Huntington North's principal shared his thoughts about his tour of service in Afghanistan.
The Army National Guardsman spent a year in Afghanistan, helping the Afghan people develop their own agriculture.
He came home in September, and talked about his experiences Wednesday morning at the Huntington University Foundation Breakfast. Different than combat, but crucial, nonetheless.
Jeremy Gulley says, “Kids are kids everywhere in the world. And if we can guide 'em, nurture 'em, they can be free and happy people. And that's what we want for our children and that's what we want for the children around the world. To whatever extent my service was connected to that, that's personally very gratifying to me."
Gulley served a year in the Khost Province of Afghanistan with the 319th Agribusiness Development Team.
