FORT WAYNE, IN (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - IPFW’s Hospitality Management Program gets prestigious international recognition.

The Purdue program that trains students for careers in hotel management is now a member of the internationally acclaimed "Leading Hotel Schools of the World."

The 12-members of the group are dedicated to training students "globally" in the hospitality industry.

John Niser, chair and associate professor for the Department of Consumer and Family Sciences says, “Schools that are engaged in research, engaged in student exchange, faculty exchanges, and that's really the exciting thing for us. That suddenly we are plugged into the world doing this, and that's really the fun thing with this kind of thing.”

IPFW joins Niagra University in New York as the only two American schools in the group.

The others are from Europe, South America, India and Canada.
