FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - 12 members of the IPFW Nursing Department are going to volunteer in the Dominican Republic.
Three faculty members and nine graduate students will travel on the mission trip.
During their stay, they will provide health care and medical supplies.
The trip is coordinated through the "Barnabas Project".
IPFW's team will also education residents on proper health care practices and donated much needed fresh drinking water.
Officials shared that the trip will also be used to create future health care mission projects.
The team will leave January 22, 2011.
They will return home on January 28, 2011.
