FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - The IPFW Fort Wayne Senate would like to see Chancellor Michael Wartell to stay on, at least for the next two years.
The senate made up of full time faculty members overwhelmingly voted to request an extension to Purdue's mandatory retirement age for Wartell.
It was announced late last week that an exploratory committee had be formed to find Wartell's replacement since he will soon reach Purdue's mandatory retirement age of 65.
Wartell has been IPFW's Chancellor since 1994.
