INDIANA (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - The federal government is praising Indiana for fewer payment errors in the Food Stamp Program.
Last year, the Indiana government was fined for mistakes, but the USDA says Indiana is now one of the most improved states.
State officials improved the Welfare system after they cancelled a contract with an outside contractor.
As a reward for the progress, Indiana is receiving $1.6 million.
