Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - College students help teach the important lesson of "personal finance literacy" to young students during JA in a Day.
Tuesday morning, 55 students from the University of St. Francis visited students at Miami Middle School in Fort Wayne with the goal of teaching young students about the best ways to handle their money.
Lots of "hands-on" activities were used to help get the message across.
JA Program Manager Hayli Dick says, “They'll be learning about entrepreneurs in our past and in our present personal finance, how to write a budget, credit and credit scores and how to keep them good...and different jobs that they can have based on their interests."
Students at Miami Middle School are some of the 1st to be a part of the new JA in a Day program.
