KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A Kosciusko County judge ruled 12-year-old Paul Gingerich will go through adult court, despite his attorney's efforts to have the boy tried in the juvenile system.
Gingerich is accused of helping his 15-year-old friend, Colt Lundy, kill Lundy's stepfather in April.
Lundy's attorney, David Kolbe, says the judge made this ruling Thursday after a month of deliberation.
Kolbe says Gingerich's family has since fired his attorney and will be seeking new counsel.
The boys trial in adult court is set for October 5th.
