Shoppers Lineup for Entrance into the New Kroger Marketplace on Dupont Road

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – The new Kroger Marketplace opened on Fort Wayne’s north side Thursday morning.

The Dupont Road location was packed with people eager to see

In addition to groceries, the store will feature gluten-free all-natural foods, household appliances, a jewelry store, a bistro and a build-your-own cupcake station.

And singer Patti Labelle was on hand to autograph copies of her cookbook, which includes healthy recipes suitable for diabetics and launch her line of foods.

With the Kroger opening, the Scott's across the street has been closed.
