Undated (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Cycling champ Lance Armstrong must respond on Friday to allegations of using drugs.
The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency brought formal charges against Armstrong, alleging it collected blood samples from the cyclist in 2009 and 2010 that were “fully consistent with blood manipulation.”
Since retiring from cycling in 2011, Armstrong has been competing in triathlons, but the formal charges mean Armstrong is immediately banned from those competitions.
Armstrong posted a response on his website saying the charges are baseless, motivated by spite and that he has never doped.
If the charges are proven, Armstrong's seven Tour de France titles could be annulled.
