FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – Fort wayne city leaders now have more than 900 ideas from the public on how to spend that $77 million in light lease money.

Now they need to cut the list. Thursday night the Legacy Task Force scored suggestions after placing the ideas into seven categories.
Thursday night’s focus was arts and culture and downtown development.

“We really do want to look at all of these proposals and be sure that anybody who took the time to come to a community meeting or a group that sent proposals in will be considered,” says Jim Vann, Co-Chair of Legacy Task Force.

Task force members will meet through the summer and hope to have a short list of ideas for Mayor Tom Henry by August.

All of the input that was gathered from the community is online at Legacy Task Force under the Task Force heading on the navigation bar.
