INDIANA (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles has made a new license plate available to the public benefiting gay causes.
The Indiana Youth Group plate has been available since Dec. 28 and bears the logo with rainbow colored hands reaching up.
Some $25 from sales of each $40 plate goes to the group serving lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth.
In 2010 the BMV was sued by the group for denying the request for a specialty plate. An agreement was reached and the plate was approved.
