FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Kathy Choka, owner of "Fort Wayne's Famous" Coney Island, announced Monday that, at the beginning of November, James Todoran became a partner in her family-owned restaurant.

Todoran has a long line of family members that have worked at the restaurant dating back to the 1960s, including his father and dozens of uncles, cousins and brothers. Todoran was hired by Kathy's father, Russ Choka, in 1986 as a dishwasher. Under the late Mr. Choka's guidance, Todoran worked his way up to general manager, and now his dream of ownership has become a reality.

The Coney Island will be celebrating 100 years in business next year and, with the Choka/Todoran team, customers can rest assured that the integrity and quality that has made Coney Island famous will continue for years to come.
