BOULDER, CO. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Wildlife officers had to tranquilize a bear that had climbed up a tree on the University of Colorado’s Boulder campus.
Park rangers say the bear was about 15 feet above the ground and is probably between 3 and 5-years-old. But the young bear is no light weight, weighing in around 200 pounds.
After being tranquilized and a short wait, the bear finally fell out of the tree onto cushioned pads that had been placed on the ground.
The bear will be relocated into the wild.
