Man Arrested For 2009 Sexual Assault

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- Dekalb County Sheriffs arrested Michael Paul Stafford Wednesday.

Stafford is accused of sexually assaulting a Bulter woman back in 2009 while she was mowing her lawn.

Stafford asked about the cars for sale in her lawn, she went inside to get pen and paper as she was walking back out, he stopped her in the doorway, forced her back inside with a knife to her back, and then forced her to have sex with him in front of her small child.

Police never found him until the victim spotted him in Angola earlier this month.
