FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The man suspected in this weekend's homicide makes his first appearance in court Monday morning.
22-year-old Brandon Baker is charged with burglary resulting in bodily injury and aggravated battery in connection with the death of 48-year-old Timothy Perkins
Perkins' body was discovered in a garage on Poinsette Drive early Saturday morning.
The Allen County Coroner ruled Perkins died from blunt force trauma to the head.
Early Saturday morning, Fort Wayne Police Officers were lead to the scene of a body by a man saying he thought he had just seen someone killed.
At 3:23 a.m. officers were dispatched to 1241 West Main Street, where a resident called in saying a man they did not know was pounding on the door.
Officers spoke with the man and he said he thought he had just seen someone killed. He lead officers to a garage on the property of 2703 Poinsette Drive. Police found Perkins lying on the floor unresponsive. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.
