Allen County, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - A judge sentenced 34-year-old Vincen Velez of east Chicago to four years in prison for holding up the Walgreens at West Jefferson and Getz Road on February 29.

Velez had pleaded guilty in May to a Class C felony charge of robbery, telling the judge he robbed the pharmacy for the drug Opana.

According to our partner in news, the Journal Gazette, Velez had just been released from the Allen County jail hours before he held up Walgreens.

He had been in jail for resisting law enforcement and theft.

In addition to the four year sentence, the judge also ordered Velez to repay Walgreens about $2,000.
