FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- The Fort Wayne man shot during a struggle with a police officer is now charged with several felonies.

The prosecutor has charged 43 year old Vincent Castaneda with disarming a police officer, for allegedly wresting the officer's taser from him as well as resisting law enforcement causing injury, and resisting by fleeing in a vehicle.

Last month, police tried to pull Castaneda over when they thought he was driving a stolen car.

He took off and officers chased him into his Third Street home, where he struggled with an officer.

Castaneda was tased, then when he got the taser away from the officer, he was shot in the stomach.
