FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - The man accused of the brutal killing of 9-year-old Aliahna Lemmon will wait another few weeks before returning to court.

Michael Plumadore was originally scheduled for a pre-trial conference Monday morning but his appearance had to be rescheduled to May 1st..

The pre-trial hearing is set to make sure there are no obstacles blocking the scheduled June 18th trial.

Plumadore is accused of killing 9-year-old Aliahna Lemmon, then dismembering the little girl's body last year.

Police say he confessed to the murder after he joined in the search when she was believed to be missing around Christmas.

Plumadore's trial is set to start June 18th.

Prosecutors have not said whether they will seek the death penalty in the case.
