Money Smart Fair Helps Residents Become Better with Their Money

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Members of the Financial Stability Partnership are hosting a Money Smart Fair from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday at the downtown Allen County Public Library.

The Money Smart Fair is organized by the Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service, United Way of Allen County, the Allen County Public Library, and the Financial Stability Partnership.

Vickie Hadley with the Purdue Extension Office says, “But making you also aware of the other resources in the community. You may not need them now but maybe a family or friend does. And, who knows what our futures going to be with the economic situation. You may also need to turn to them for assistance.”

The fair is part of a national campaign called Money Smart Week which provides a series of free classes and activities designed to help consumers better manage their personal finances.
