FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Sunday was the 11th time this year we've hit 90° or hotter. We usually see about 14 days worth of 90+ temperatures in a typical summer. We'll hit that number and slide right past it this week. A Heat Advisory is in place today and an Excessive Heat Watch begins Tuesday and will be in place through Thursday.
The entire 7-day forecast has high temperatures reaching the low 90's. Factor in the humidity, and that means a heat index each day approaching the 100° mark. Overnight lows are only dropping to the low 70's each day this week.
The only chance for rain is a slim one, and that will be showing up this afternoon into Tuesday. For the most part, it's going to be an uncomfortably hot and sticky week without much rain.
