FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – Fort Wayne police are investigating two attempted armed robberies at the BP and Marathon gas stations.
According to reports, the first occurred at 4:46 a.m. at the BP at Coliseum and Clinton when a black male approached a station clerk while he was cleaning and put a gun to his head and took his wallet. Another suspect took the cash register.
The second robbery, occurring at around 6:48 a.m. at the Smith-Field Marathon in the 6500 block of Lima Road, involved the same suspects. A younger male wearing a black hooded sweat shirt and black pants, joined by another male in his early twenties, pointed a handgun in the clerk's face and demanded money.
The suspects fled the scene with an unknown amount of money.
One suspect is described as being a 20-something black male, between 5'3" and 5'9", wearing a black hooded sweat shirt. The other suspect is described as being a 20-something, slim, lighter skinned black male, between 5'8" and 5"9" with no facial hair and wearing a t-shirt and dark pants.
