FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Murder charges have now been filed against a Fort Wayne man, after witnesses told police he saw the homicide happen.
A probable cause affidavit reads that 22-year-old Brandon Baker and two other men smoked "K2" the morning of February 12th, before Baker struck 48-year-old Timothy Perkins over the head with a hammer in a detached garage on Poinsette Drive, before he rifled through the victim's pockets.
Police say they found Perkins' body wrapped in a blanket, and that nearby there was a freezer covered in blood.
Baker is charged with murder, felony murder, robbery and burglary.
