Nationwide Moral Debate Argued Over a Chicken-Sandwich

UNDATED (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Chick-fil-a, a privately-owned, fast-food chain has come under fire after its CEO stated publicly his company's opposition to gay marriage. Comments that have lead supporters of gay-marriage to call for a boycott of the Atlanta-based company.

But on Wednesday, a national "Chick-fil-a Appreciation Day" is being held for those who support the CEO and the Christian-based company and a protest opportunity for those who don't.

With annual sales over $4 billion, the nationwide-chain is mainly focused in the southern-states and has not commented on the controversy.

Former Arkansas Governor and conservative television host, Mike Huckabee, has declared Wednesday "Chick-fil-a Appreciation Day". Calling it a chance to, "affirm to a Christian brother, Dan Cathy, that he has not been disenfranchised from his citizenship nor his right of free speech."

The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association also supports Cathy and is also backing "Chick-fil-a Day"

A nationwide moral debate is now being argued over a chicken-sandwich.
