FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Finding a hotel room in the Summit City may be difficult this weekend.

Thanks to the Youth Basketball National Tourney at Spiece Field House, an Air National Guard Convention at the Grand Wayne and the USA Roller Sports National Championship hotel rooms are 90-percent filled.

Dan O'Connell with the Fort Wayne Convention & Visitor's Bureau says, “We've added one new hotel every year in Fort Wayne for the past ten years, on the average. This year we had three hotels open up. So the industry is pretty strong, but it makes it very, very competitive.”

O'Connell estimates that there are more than 5,000 hotel rooms available in the city of Fort Wayne.
