NEW HAVEN, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - The New Haven City Council could take a final vote Tuesday night on a plan for upgrading the city's water system.
Council members have considered different options on how to pay for the improvements.
One plan, apparently favored by New Haven leaders, would raise city water rates by 37-percent, which would bring in about $3 million.
New Haven's mayor has said this would be the city's first water rate increase in 10 years.
