NEW HAVEN, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - New Haven is joining Fort Wayne in collecting evidence of storm damage from June 29 and requesting an emergency declaration.
An emergency declaration is the first step for a community to receive help from the federal government.
The city wants residents to document their damage, and report it to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security.
New Haven officials are also reminding residents that crews are continuing cleaning up.
