ANDERSON, Ind. (21Alive) – You might want to think twice about wearing a hoodie if you plan to visit Anderson’s mall any time soon.

Shoppers say they're offended by signs posted at entrances to the Mounds Mall asking visitors to lower their hooded sweatshirts while inside.

The signs at the entrances of the mounds mall read, "For the safety and well-being of everyone, please lower your hoodie.”

In an interview with the Herald Bulletin, the Mounds Mall General Manager says the hoodie rule dates back to 2004, but the signs reminding patrons of the rule were posted in December.
