No Satellite Problems After Recent Solar Flare Eruption

SPACE (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - NASA's Solar Dynamic Observatory captured beautiful images of a large solar flare that took place on Thursday.

The 90-minute eruption was strong enough to kick up a tendril of plasma, known as a solar prominence.

It wasn't the strongest solar flare ever recorded, but it looked amazing.

The blast was directed away from the Earth and isn't expected to put satellites or other electronic systems in danger.
