SOUTH BEND, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Notre Dame has agreed to a settlement with the Labor Department over the death of a student filming football practice.
20-year-old Declan Sullivan died when the scissor lift he was on, collapsed in high winds.
In the next 1890-days, the university must launch a nation wide program for other schools about the hazards of using those lifts, they must also make a substantial contribution to a memorial fund in Sullivan's name and must designate a liaison between the ND Athletic Department and the At-Risk Division to ensure proper employee training.
