FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- A Waterloo man is looking to educate the public Saturday morning on his experiences with nuclear power.

Eric Francis spent years in the Navy training to work at nuclear power plants. He's watched the nuclear debate grow since the tragedy in Japan and hopes to educate neighbors about how nuclear plants work.

“Talk a little bit about radiation, what types of plants we've had in this country in the past and maybe about what they're planning in the future. Just educating people as to what nuclear power reactors really are and how they work.”

Francis feels certain types of nuclear plants are good energy options, he'll hold his seminar at New Hope Christian Center in Waterloo Saturday morning at 8am.
