FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- The Allen County Coroner's Office has just released that the death of an elderly woman in a nursing home two weeks ago, was a homicide.
88 Year old Betty Riley died December 13th, about a week after possibly being pushed to the ground and hitting her head during an argument with another dementia patient.
She was staying at the Summit City Nursing and Rehabilitation Nursing Home on North Clinton.
After the fall, doctors discovered a blood clot in her brain.
She was returned to the nursing home after being treated at the hospital and died there.
No charges have been filed yet.
Riley is the county's 23rd homicide victim of the year.
