Out-Of-Work Bar Staff Find Home At O'Reilly's

March 12, 2013 Updated Nov 6, 2013 at 1:46 AM EDT

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- O'Reilly's Bar & Restaurant just recently found a home at the Harrison and now the displaced bar staff from Mitchell's Bar and Grill have found a home at O'Reilly's.

After flames gutted Mitchell's Bar and Grill last week, the close-knit group of employees were worried about how to stay united. Cue O'Reilly's managing partner in shining armor who has now provided employment to at least 8 of the former bar staff at Mitchell's.

According to our partner's in news, The Journal Gazette, O'Reilly's managing partner, Richard Cieslinski, said he hated "to see a restaurant go down like that". He knew that the bar staff would be out of work and O'Reilly's had openings so he called up Leigh Suthers, 23, a manager and bartender at Mitchell's and offered her a job.

Suthers said Cieslinski told her to spread the word with the other out-of-work employees and now O'Reilly's is home to many of the bar staff from Mitchell's.

Cieslinski had been a patron at Mitchell's and says he knew the level of service they provided and was happy to bring them on board, becaue O'Reilly's was looking for top-notch service.

Several of the former Mitchell's/new O'Reilly's staff have said they will return to Mitchell's if it reopens and Cieslinski said he understands that and is happy to provide work for them in the interim.
