HUNTINGTON, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- Pathfinder Services broke ground in Huntington Wednesday on three new supported independent living homes.
The homes will serve 12 individuals, all of which have special needs. The homes will be constructed so those individuals can have their own independent space and still be able to live with others.
"It's their choice and the key thing we're really after is choice," said John Niederman, President of Pathfinder Services. "The choice of individuals to be able to live the lives they want to live rather than the lives dictated by others."
The homes were made possible through grants. Pathfinder Services is a non-profit organization that serves over 4,000 people in Northeast Indiana.
