Woman Arrested In Fatal Hit & Run, Victim ID'd

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The man who died in a hit-and-run accident early Sunday morning has been identified as Nathaniel Gatchell.

Police say Anissa M. Northrup, 33, fled in her minivan after hitting Gatchell as he was crossing the street in the 1100 block of Broadway at 2:47 a.m.

Witness accounts helped police locate a minivan that matched the vehicle description at Huffman Street and Franklin Avenue. Police pulled the van over, and detained Northrup.

Northrup is charged with failure to stop after an accident resulting in death and reckless homicide with a 72-hour hold.
