FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Potter mania is sweeping the country, in advance of the midnight release of the final movie installment in the wildly popular series.
"It's a good feeling but it's kinda sad to because it's kinda the end of an epic adventure," said Fort Wayne Harry Potter Fan Aubrey Ruiz.
Ruiz and dozens of other have been sitting in line for hours, waiting patiently for Harry Potter's return.
"I've got a couple of books, snacks and a bunch of water and I've got friends that are bringing us food," said Fort Wayne Harry Potter Fan Lauren Bachle as she waited in line.
Meanwhile, the 12:01 a.m. shows at the Rave Motion Pictures at Jefferson Pointe are already sold out.
Midnight shows at other theaters around Fort Wayne are also sold out.
However, as of this afternoon, Rave Motion Pictures at Jefferson Pointe still had tickets available for a 3:00 a.m. show.
"These movies are my childhood. They really are. I'm 21 and I grew up with Harry Potter. The first book came out when I was 11 so I honestly wanted a Hogwarts letter," said Bachle.
Meanwhile, Jefferson Pointe restaurants Chik-fil-a and Chipotle will offer free food to people dressed in costume from 5- 7 pm Thursday night and the JP Food Court will show the previous Harry Potter films all day.
“Last year I dressed up as Fred. It wasn't as good as this year. We put a lot of thought and effort into it, so that'll be fun to do. There's gonna be a lot of cool stuff. I'm getting really excited. I didn't realize there's going to be a costume contest, so I'm looking forward to that," said Die Hard Harry Potter Fan Barry Drummond.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 premieres at 12:01 a.m. Friday.
"Since it's the last one there probably gonna go out with more action than the other ones. So I'm hoping a lot more fighting scenes," said Ossian Teenager Tyler Powell, who dressed up as Harry Potter.
