INDIANA (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Proponents of property tax caps being a permanent fixture of the state constitution are hitting the campaign trail.
Indiana State Pro-Tem, Senator David Long, spoke to a group of residents Monday morning saying these caps will insure Hoosiers against a backward slide from the Historic Property Tax Relief and Reform Package approved by state legislators in 2008.
The caps will put a 1-percent cap on homes and two and three percent on agriculture and business.
