Residents Hear Bass Road Widening Project Details

Fort Wayne, IN (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- Tuesday night officials with the Allen County Highway Department met with Bass Road residents to get community input and provide information on proposed upgrades to the rural roadway.

The first phase of the more than ten year project would re-construct the intersection at Hadley Road in 2014 and Kroemer Road in 2015 including turn lanes and sidewalks.

The next phase, in 2016, would widen more than four miles of Bass Road between Hillegas and Scott Roads to three lanes including a center turn lane.

Plans also call for the construction of a 10 foot wide trail running parallel to Bass Road.
