FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - It's official. We've surpassed the record high temperature for today, January 11. The previous record was 56° set in 1975. As of 2:00PM at the Fort Wayne airport, the thermometer read 57°.
Although it's a record breaking day, today's previous record high temperature was one of the coolest daily records for the month of January. The only day with a record high temperature cooler than today's is 55° on January 30. Most daily records in January are in the low and mid 60's.
Temperatures are going to be warm one more day at the beginning of the weekend. After that, more seasonable temperatures return. Highs on Sunday and next week will only reach the low 30's, feeling more like January normally does.
