Rent-A-Textbook Program Saving IPFW Students Thousands

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Students heading to college have already heard that buying textbooks can be expensive but a new program at IPFW is cutting that cost in half.

Since August, students have been able to rent textbooks instead of buying them.

Students are saving at least 50-percent and also have the opportunity to purchase digital copies, that they can keep forever.

IPFW Bookstore Manager Jason Kahlenbeck says, “We've seen a lot of feedback from faculty and students and parents as well. They can save their money and the options it's a flexible program, they can rent in the store, they can rent online.”

So far the program has saved IPFW students more than $326,000.
