HOWE, IN (Indiana's NewsCenter) --- Republicans in Northeast Indiana may be watching the Third District Congressional race with the most interest on Election Day.

Loyal republicans figure they'll be seeing congressional candidate Marlin Stutzman delivering a victory speech when election returns become official.

Stutzman, along with his wife and children, popped into the family's voting precinct Tuesday morning in Howe Indiana, so the Stutzman's could add their votes to the candidate's total.

Virtually all the pre-election polling showed Stutzman with a comfortable lead over Democrat Tom Hayhurst.

Stutzman exuded confidence, though it was tempered with caution.

Marlin Stutzman/(R) 3rd District Candidate: " It feels good. We've voted now and it's just great to be a part of our democracy and to voice who we support, especially when you're voting for yourself. We put a lot of hard work into the campaign, and we feel really good about everything that we've done and hope to accomplish."

Allen County Republicans will also be following a handful of contested county races.

GOP candidates may well pull off a clean sweep in those contests.

Those attending election night parties will undoubtedly be keeping a close eye on national news coverage, monitoring results from senate and congressional races across the country, hoping that republicans will make huge gains on Capitol Hill.
