Victim of Early Morning Attempted Robbery ID'd

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - One person remains hospitalized following an early Monday morning shooting on Fort Wayne’s southeast side.

Police were called to the intersection of McKinnie and Warsaw around 2 am.

It is there they found 37-year-old John Thaxton of Fort Wayne suffering from a bullet wound.

Thaxton was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Police believe Thaxton was the victim of an attempted robbery.
