KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – Tractor-trailer loses control on US 30 and flipped onto its side spilling flammable resin and corrosive liquid containers onto the highway.

Just before 2 am Thursday morning semi truck driver John David, 54, of Huber Heights, Ohio lost control of his semi as he crossed a section of US 30 that had black ice.

David’s semi crossed the center median and flipped his double trailers onto their side spilling 31 barrels of flammable resin and corrosive liquid onto the road.

David sustained minor injuries and was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital in fair condition.

Both lanes of US 30 were closed until 9 am as Kosciusko County Emergency Management and E.P.A. officials cleaned up and transferred the load to other semi trailers.
