(Indiana's NewsCenter) -- There is a move in the Senate to keep the Keystone Pipeline alive.
Indiana Senator Dan Coats has joined a bipartisan group of 44 senators to introduce legislation that would side step the President and move forward with the project.
President Obama turned the project down earlier this month.
Coats says it is both irrational and disingenuous for an administration that claims its number one priority is jobs to block a project that would put thousands of Americans back to work.
He also went on to say the Keystone XL Pipeline has bipartisan support because it will provide jobs for hardworking Americans and reduce our country's dependence on Middle East oil.
