FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Gunshots ring out and the alleged shooter targets the mother of his child.
23-year-old Patrick Long is preliminarily charged with attempted murder after police say he shot 22-year-old Radiance Upshaw, possibly when they were exchanging their child.
Upshaw was critically wounded after being shot multiple times in front of a home in the 5200 block of Yorkshire Drive around 7:30 Thursday evening.
It's not clear what the motive may have been but multiple casings were found at the scene and apparently the suspect was aiming at the house.
Fortunately the children inside the home, where the shooting took place, were not hurt by stray bullets.
