Shoveling Snow Increases Risk of Heart Attack (with Video)

United States (www.incnow.tv) – Doctors say shoveling that snow packed driveway may increase the risk for heart attack in some people.

Experts at New York Presbyterian Hospital say blood vessels narrow during cold weather to prevent our bodies from losing heat. Combine narrowed vessels with vigorous shoveling and you’ve got a recipe for heart trouble.

Medical experts suggest warming up before picking up the snow shovel. They also suggest wearing a scarf over your mouth and nose to warm the air you breathe.
