Showgirl Owner Accused in Sexual Harassment Case

May 24, 2012 Updated Nov 13, 2013 at 1:48 AM EDT

Fort Wayne, IN (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – The owner of Showgirl One is being targeted in a lawsuit by a former employee who says she was sexually harassed.

The former employee is said she was subject to severe verbal and physical sexual harassment by the owner on November 26, 2011.

The deputy director Indiana Civil Rights Commission says their agency has issued a finding that there is probable cause to believe the woman was subjected to severe verbal and physical sexual harassment by the owner.

The owner allegedly created a “sexually charged atmosphere” and that something “startling” happened between the owner and the employee.

A public hearing will be scheduled to see whether Indiana’s Civil Rights Law was violated.
