WASHINGTON D.C. (www.incnow.tv) - Experts predict that smoking bans and other tobacco control policies will prevent an estimated 7.5 million deaths worldwide by the year 2050.
Researchers in Washington D.C. focused on 41 countries that had implemented tobacco control measures since 2007. They estimate that more than 7 million lives will be saved in the coming decades.
Experts say successful tobacco control measures include smoking bans, quit help lines, bans on tobacco advertising, and higher cigarette taxes.
