Angola, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - Investigators are trying to figure out why someone placed an explosive device into a Smurf doll and blew it up Sunday evening.
A resident in the area reported that the blast occurred about 7 p.m. in the 200 block of Henry Street.
No injuries were reported but debris from the explosion along with stuffing from the doll was found littered the block.
Indiana State Police are assisting with the investigation. No arrests have been made.
According to WLKI, the Angola Fire Department is trying to determine the type of chemicals used in creating the explosive.
