FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - One person is hospitalized following a shooting incident on Fort Wayne’s southeast side.

It happened just before noon Tuesday in the 4400 block of Winter Street.

When police arrived to the scene 23-year-old Marvin Billingsley was found lying on the sidewalk suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.

Billingsley was then taken to the hospital in serious condition.

It is believed that Billingsley was in his vehicle (a white-colored Pontiac Grand Prix) and that he was engaged in conversation with one other person when a second subject approached, demanded money, and then fired upon him.

At this time there is no suspect information. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Fort Wayne Police Department at 260 427-1222 or Crime Stoppers at 260 436-STOP (260 436-7867).
