Indianapolis (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - A deceptively sweet treat has been named the signature food of the 2012 Indiana State Fair.

Spaghetti Ice Cream, a creation of Monroe Concessions in Marion, features spaghetti-shaped Italian ice cream with strawberry "tomato sauce," shaved white chocolate "cheese" and chocolate "meatballs."

The frozen concoction will be sold for $5 on Main Street across from the Pepsi Coliseum.

Online voters selected Spaghetti Ice Cream from a pool of six dairy-themed entries, including fried cheese, beer-infused cheese sauce, a caramel corn sundae and cannolis.

All of the finalists' dishes will be sold at the fair.

The Indiana State Fair runs Aug. 3-19 at the State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis.
